I’ve been following Lambo Brickz for a few years, I’ve heard him on few projects so I know what I was kind of getting myself into. I was wrong, Lambo has definitely stepped it up for his first official solo project. I was most impressed on how he switched his flow up which was something I was scared that was gonna be the same. The production on this album was very dope, but I really was hoping that he was gonna have more of the sound like on “Good Times”. I can honestly say I’m proud to see his growth and hopefully he will continue to grow from here. The tracks I enjoyed were “Double Back”, “Different” and of course, “Good Times”.

I’m not gonna lie, I was waiting for this album to drop when I first found out about Cashlife James last year when he was rappin on old school beats. For his first project it is a solid tape, I think the point he was trying to get across was said in the bars he spit. Sometimes the flow was off beat but that’s a style that I’m starting to hear more and more with the new young rappers. There were also a lot of one verse songs. I know there is gonna be a lot of growth with him because he definitely go crazy with the pen, I just don’t want him to stay in the Detroit sounding lane and to find a sound that he can make his own. A few songs like were “Straight drop”, “Soul food” and, “Talk to em”. I am fan young Cash, keep writing and keep going.

I know what y’all thinking , Geek you betta kill this album because of how you feel about auto-tune....relax my fam. I’m definitely a Young thug fan but, didn’t enjoy so much fun the original release because it just started kind of ehh to me, but this version had me pumped by putting bonus songs in the beginning of the album which were all fire. Young Thug literally shaped the sound that we are all hearing today (him and future). Something I do respect that thug don’t use auto tune on the whole album he does have his pockets on which he actually raps and really be talking that shit. I usually have something against long albums but I’m going to let this slide because this an deluxe album and it’s fucking Young Thug who gonna tell him that he can’t. Some of the songs I frequent are “Diamonds”, “Sup Mate”, “Mannequin Challenge” and, “Light it up”.

I know I’m late reviewing this album but I was cool with her singles and didn’t want to be disappointed if her album was trash, I was wrong. Doja Cat is really going crazy on this album Hot Pink with the rapping and was able to infuse that with poppy sounding music. What really got me wanting to listen to album was the effect that I seen her songs have on TikTok. I also like the freaky lyrics because she raps/sings about the same things that other females are rapping/singing about but do it with a little more style with it and don’t make it so brash. This album really had me bopping in  the car while driving to work and put me a great mood, and y’all know how I feel about feel good music. While listening to this album my fiancé, she pointed out that a lot of the songs sounded the same and I agree to some degree but that’s her lane .Some of the songs I liked were “Like that”, “talk dirty”, “addiction” and of course the tiktok smash, “say so”. Y’all should have never let her get on with MOOO!!

Griselda - WWCD

A lot have changed with my opinion with Griselda records as a whole. Over the past couple of months I have learned a lot about Westside Gunn, Conway the machine, and Benny the butcher which made me see view their music a lot different. WWCD is really what that game needs in between all the auto tune that’s out here, not to say I don’t like because I do but every new rapper and some of our veterans are running to that sound just to catch a hit. Griselda as a whole don’t care to follow the crowd and want to keep that authentic New York sound, so when listening to this album compare it to early 90’s New York hip hop which is what I didn’t realize when listening to Hitler wear Hermes 7. If you never listened to any of the thousands albums they put out last year listen to this album the whole way threw and you can definitely catch their vibe. I also wanna give a shout out to Eminem on his verse, because on my 2nd listen (as I’m writing this review) he honestly killed that verse....it’s way better then that bullshit verse people was champion on Fat Joe and Dre album.
